This Global Privacy Statement (“Statement”) describes the personal data practices of Texaco Fuel Services in connection with personal data that we collect through:

  • Websites operated by us from which you are accessing this Statement (the “Sites”);
  • Software applications made available by us for use on or through computers and mobile devices from which you are accessing this Statement (the “Apps”);
  • Our social media pages and apps that we control (collectively, our “Social Media Pages”);
  • HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you that link to this Statement or other communications with you; and
  • Offline interactions you have with us.

Collectively, we refer to the Sites, Apps, social media Pages, emails, and offline interactions as the “Services.”

The purpose of this Statement is to explain our global data practices.

Personal Data Collection

The information we collect when you complete our FleetStar application:

When you complete our FleetStar application, we may collect the following information:

Information related to your fleet or service needs

How do we use your information?

The information collected is used exclusively to:

Contact you with information about the FleetStar program

Offer you demonstrations, quotes, and/or fleet solutions for your business

Improve our services or communications related to the program.

We do not sell or share your information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

Data Protection:

Texaco implements administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure.

Personal data that you provide to us directly. The Services collect personal data, including:

Contact details such as your name, email address, telephone, and mailing address.

Company information such as your title, company/organization name, and company address.

The content of your message or request.

Information in connection with your registration for, admission to, or other participation in events, such as your registration or admission materials, participation in sessions, and survey results.

Your preferences with respect to email marketing or text messages.

Information regarding contest entries, event registration

Geolocation data, such as the site, time, and date or data derived from your IP address, country, and zip code, as well as precise geolocation of your mobile device, in accordance with applicable law.

Information such as your nationality and/or country of residence that allows us to determine your eligibility under export control regulations to receive information about certain technologies or comply with other legal reporting requirements.

Feedback from you about our products and Services; and

Any personal data derived from any of the foregoing.

Personal data collected by automated means. We collect certain data about your visit to and use of our Services, including what pages you view, the number of bytes transferred, the links you click, and other actions taken within our Services. We also collect certain standard information that your browser or device sends to every website you visit or mobile application you use, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type and capabilities and language, your operating system, the date and time you access the Services, your mobile device information (including ID), as applicable, and the website from which you linked to our Services. Our Services use tracking technologies to help us understand their performance and our online marketing efforts.

Through the Services. We collect personal data through the Services, for example, when you contact us.

Our Use of Personal Data

Your choices regarding our use and disclosure of personal data

Receiving marketing-related emails from us. If you no longer want to receive marketing related emails from us on a going-forward basis, you may opt out by clicking unsubscribe in the message.  Also, the opt-out will be processed for the email address that sent the relevant email.

We will try to comply with your requests as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt out of receiving marketing related emails or text messages from us, we may still send you important messages, which are not subject to opt out, including administrative or transactional messages.

How you can access, change, or delete your personal data

If you would like to request to access, correct, update, suppress, restrict, or delete personal data, object to or opt out of the processing of personal data, or if you would like to request to receive a copy of your personal data for purposes of transmitting it to another company (to the extent these rights are provided to you by applicable law), please contact us directly.

Please note that we may need to retain certain personal data for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion (e.g., when you make a purchase or enter a promotion, you may not be able to change or delete the personal data provided until after the completion of such purchase or promotion).

This Statement does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any website or service to which the Services link. The inclusion of a link on the Services does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us or by our affiliates. In addition, we are not responsible for the information collection, use, disclosure, or security policies or practices of other organizations, such as Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, social media platform provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider, or device manufacturer, including with respect to any personal data you disclose to other organizations through or in connection with Apps or our social media.

Third-Party Advertising

We use third-party advertising companies to serve advertisements regarding goods and services that may be of interest to you when you access and use the Services and other websites or online services.

You may receive advertisements based on information relating to your access to and use of the Services and other websites or online services on any of your devices, as well as on information received from third parties. These companies place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser (including through the use of pixel tags). They also use these technologies, along with information they collect about your online use, to recognize you across the devices you use, such as a mobile phone and a laptop.

Sensitive personal data

Unless we specifically request it, we ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive personal data (e.g., Social Security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background, or trade union membership) on or through the Services or otherwise to us.

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures designed to protect personal data within our organization. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
